Dr. Shahira Boulos

Dr. Shahira Boulos received her medical degree in 1986 and she is a member of the college of family physicians of Canada and an Assistant Professor of Family Medicine at Queen’s University. With a surgical background, Dr. Boulos has been administering cosmetic injections since 2007. She has successfully built upon this experience with further training in Aesthetic Medicine and has attended various conferences, where interaction with her peers continues to keep her education current. Dr. Boulos frequently teaches at Centennial College.

BOTULINUM TOXIN OVERVIEW:

This comprehensive one-day hands-on training workshop explores the applications of Botulinum Toxin type A for cosmetic purposes with a focus on the most popular areas requested for treatment. Presentation will include an introduction to history and new developments on the horizon of Botulinum Toxin A as well as a brief analysis of Botulinum Toxin B. Significant focus on pertinent facial anatomy and physiology will be presented (the cornerstone to safe and effective treatment). Presentation will include mechanism of action, safety and efficacy issues, management and treatment of complications, dilution guidelines, and comprehensive information on proper injection techniques and placement, for desired outcome. Our intense hands-on session will include identifying and mapping areas for injection and actually doing the injections.

Duration of the course: One day (8 hours)

Credential: Certificate

Course prerequisite: Medical Doctor degree or Nurses degree

12:00 – 12:30 Botulinum Toxin Theory Part III (eyebrow lift, hyperhidrosis contraindications, safety)
12:30 – 13:00 Lunch
13:00- 13:30 Client consultation
13:30 – 14:45 Real clients - Reception of live models and actual injections to live models (Legal issues and consent forms & face chart)
14:45 – 15:00 Real clients - Reception of live models and actual injections to live models (Legal issues and consent forms & face chart)
15:00 – 16:00 Real clients - Reception of live models and actual injections to live models (Legal issues and consent forms & face chart)

  1. This course is instructed by a Licensed Physician in Ontario.
  2. Chellsey Institute is licensed from the Ministry of Advanced
  3. We offer all students to repeat the course free of charge within one year from date of course.
  4. We provide up to 8 models for practice during the course.
  5. We assist in finding a Medical Director for all nurses.
  6. You will receive a letter to (RNAO or RPNAO) to claim the grant $1500
  7. You will receive T2202A to claim your tuition from your income Tax
